Why Didn’t I Think of That?!

October 22, 2011

Love Lucky Charms? Are those pesky cereal pieces overrunning your marshmallows? There is finally an invention that can help. All sales pitches aside I want one, I dream of an all marshmallow lucky charms like I dream of hot wings with all drumsticks but soon one of my wishes will come true.

Bystanders Lift BMW Off Motorcyclist

September 14, 2011

This video is a great testament to what America is all about. In the video you can see a motorcycle on fire, and a black 5 series BMW that just struck the cyclist. What happens next is just as uncommon as it is amazing. People helping people.

Josh Shepard, Petey-O, Lyricks – The Guy on The Couch

September 8, 2011

Nice visuals from the only dudes since the Clipse to be doin it out of VA. Lyricks is well known with a strong fan following and now he’s showing he has a sharp eye for talent. Shot at Honey Pig restaurant in my old stomping grounds Centreville, VA. Besides making me hungry the video has some quality rhymes and a funny ass ending.
On a side note Shepard reminds me of this guy.

August 6, 2011

Police officers in the great state of Alabama, have found a way to catch deadbeat moms & dads; offer up some rare iron bowl tickets. As a father of none I applaud Alabama for ridding the state of unsupported parents. Operation Iron Snare was a success netting thousands of dollars of unpaid child support.

Now Why Didnt I Think of That?

April 12, 2011

I mean seriously, all the times I have let my frosted mini wheats get soggy. If I could apologize to all the fruity pebbles I’ve wasted over the years I would. It’s called an Obol and they go for $20 google that shit if you want one.

Flavor Flav’s Fried Chicken

January 24, 2011

Well America’s favorite walking stereotype is at it again. What has the darkest man in the world been cooking up? Well fried chicken of course (hold the watermelon please). While I encourage anyones entrepreneurial spirit, did it have to be Flavor Flav and fried chicken ?! Gah Damn he’s making it hard out here. The guy has a degree in culinary arts which shocks the hell out of me, but at least he’s qualified to cook chicken by more than being darker than the night. I’ll have to check with someone in Iowa, where it makes it grand opening, this week.

Go Bananas…. and Hurry !

January 7, 2011

As shallow as this site can be, we care about the global of extinction of fruits. Espically the types of fruits that are deliscious on top of cereal. Long and short of the story is; there is a exotic fungus destroying the majority of the worlds supply of good ol chiquita bananas. I can not imagine losing the cream pies, the pudding, the nut bread the list goes on. I honestly don’t think there is much an average person can do unless the hobby is researching cures for rare banana fungi.

Cavendish bananas, which make up 99 percent of the bananas on the market today, are now facing extinction from a fungus called Tropical Race Four. Also called Panama Wilt [pdf], Tropical Race Four has been identified as damaging Cavendish banana crops since the 60′s. It had a few resurgences in the last 15 years, and now it threatens the future of the Cavendish banana.

While it seems like a no-brainer to switch to a more resistant type of banana, the Cavendish is one of the few that grows quickly, tastes good, and can withstand the long trip from the farm to our grocery store. Panama Wilt has attacked crops in Indonesia, Taiwan, China, and the Phillipines, among other banana-producing areas. According to a recent New Yorker article:

Scientists believe that Tropical Race Four, which has caused tens of millions of dollars’ worth of damage, will ultimately find its way to Central America—and to the fruit that Americans buy.

While there have been outbreaks of Panama Wilt in the past, this is the largest one to date, and scientists are scrambling to find a solution. Right now, groups are working on developing genetically modified bananas and on naturally breeding a resistant Cavendish banana.
